Y1 Multi-skills at Stanley Deason Leisure Centre

Yr 1 Multi skills Main Hall with Children

On Tuesday 14th and Friday 17th November, BCPFE held their annual multi-skills event at Stanley Deason for all year one children in our member schools. 300 children took part in a variety of fun activities aimed at helping them improve their fundamental movement skills.

Students from The Greater Brighton Metropolitan College gained valuable work experience by helping and encouraging the children on each activity.

All the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves within this team environment and experienced a fun way to improve their gross motor skills.

‘As a class teacher, I have really enjoyed having the opportunity to take my classes to the enrichment activities provided by you.  The children all love taking part in multi-skills, and talk about what they have done for days after!  It is nice chance for the children to see sport as a collaborative and enjoyable experience, and something that is achievable for all.  It is fantastic to see that sport is being given a high profile in Brighton and Hove.  I am looking forward to next year already!’
